Renew CMO And Receive The Tooth Discoloration Masterclass As A Free Bonus!
Tooth Discoloration Masterclass
A beautiful smile is a goal of most individuals in modern society. In lay terms a beautiful smile is “nice even white teeth”. Thus tooth discolorations are unesthetic and patients search for corrections with their practitioners. Tooth discolorations can appear for several reasons, from diet, medications, tooth malformations, excessive fluoride, and others. They present themselves as white spots, brown, gray or a combination. To correct these discolorations, we need to be able to diagnose their etiology, make up, location and severity as well as match the treatment modalities available.
This masterclass will provide the practitioner with the tools to diagnose these discolorations and, most important, how to treat each of them. Treatment modalities, which include internal and external bleaching, micro-abrasion, and infiltration, will be shown and explained why, when, and how to use each. Each modality of treatment will be shown with case studies and detailed protocols will be provided.
Tooth Discoloration Masterclass Modules

TDM Masterclass is divided into the five modules.

MODULE 1: Diagnosis Of Different Tooth Discolourations
The successful treatment of tooth discolorations starts with diagnosis. All discolorations can be treated with the right modality of treatment.

Reaching a proper diagnosis will allow us to provide the ideal treatment or combination of treatments and Module 1 for the TDM Masterclass will teach you how to diagnose and treatment plan different the types of tooth discolorations.
MODULE 2: Mastering External Bleaching
Several modalities of external bleaching exist available to patients, from OTC strips to dentist provided in-office or for at home use.

This module will describe the best practices to obtain the best possible results with all modalities. Protocols for nightguard vital bleaching (NGVB) and the management of tooth sensitivity during bleaching will be provided.
MODULE 3: Mastering Internal Bleaching Of Nonvital Teeth
Improving the esthetics of endodontically treated discolored teeth is a very rewarding procedure for both patients and dentists.

In Module 3, several forms of treatment like walking bleaching and in-office bleaching will be taught, as well and materials and protocols to achieve predictable results minimizing risks.
MODULE 4: Mastering Microabrasion For White And Brown Spot Lesions
Micro-abrasion is without doubt a very conservative, practical, simple, and economically rewarding procedure to eliminate superficial stains and enamel imperfections.

This module will teach you a step-by-step approach to master the use of micro-abrasion for the treatment of surface discolorations. These treatments will conservatively help your patients achieve a more ideal smile.
MODULE 5: Mastering Resin Infiltration
Decalcifications and other enamel defects are treated effectively using low viscosity resins known as infiltrants.

This module will provide you with the knowledge to efficiently and effectively solve unesthetic post-ortho demineralization and enamel defects. Detailed step-by-step case studies will be used to teach you how to master this exciting technique.

BONUS 10: Members Webinar Replay Clinical and science-based elements of lithium disilicate and zirconia restorations… What every clinician must know with Dr. Taiseer Sulaiman
We realize this is not exactly a composite topic but it is an important topic in restorative dentistry and Bob and Marcos wanted to schedule this for CMO members.

There is a scarcity of evidence-based research supporting the use of contemporary ceramics in dental practices today. Poor clinical trials eventually lead to poor systematic reviews, and load to failure laboratory tests have little clinical relevance. This leaves clinicians in doubt about which ceramic restorative material is best for their patients.

The presentation will focus on lithium disilicate and monolithic zirconia, including the various generations. This will include a discussion of mechanical and optical properties, wear of natural antagonists, as well as ceramic adjustment, finishing, and polishing. A series of new retrospective studies will also be introduced to evaluate the survival of these ceramics.

During this webinar replay CMO members will learn:
    1. Understand the mechanical (including wear characteristics) and optical properties of lithium disilicate and zirconia materials, as well as their implications for clinical practice
    2. Determine the best preparation design and cementation procedure for each ceramic material.
    3. Evaluate the projected clinical success of these two materials, based on the most current research.
BONUS 11: Members Webinar Replay Bioactive Materials - What Are They and What Role Can They Play in Bonded Dental Restorations with Dr. Jack Ferracane
The concept of “bioactive” materials is currently the focus of many researchers in industry and academia. However, the topic is surrounded by controversy, even in terms of what exactly “bioactivity” means. This presentation will explore the composition, mechanism of action, and outcomes for currently available materials claiming bioactivity, and a discussion of future possibilities.

During this webinar replay CMO members will learn:
      - Bioactivity – how is it defined for dental restorative materials?
      - Historical overview of “bioactive” materials.
      - Current approaches to bioactivity and how they fit the proposed definitions.
      - Review of current commercial materials available for bases, liners, adhesives, and restoratives.
      - Composition/properties of materials used for bases and liners – mechanism of action.
      - Composition/properties of materials used for adhesives/restoratives - mechanism of action.
      - Current in vitro and clinical performance of “bioactive” materials
      - Future materials development – where are we going?
BONUS 12: Members Webinar Replay Assessing Structural Integrity of Teeth & Implants Using AI and Quantitative Percussion Diagnostics (QPD)
        With Dr. Cherilyn G. Sheets
One of the more challenging diagnostic efforts in dentistry is the assessment of the structural integrity of teeth and dental implants. Cracked teeth, deteriorating/fracturing restorations, loss of cement seal or loss of osseointegration are often hard to diagnose until the results are advanced or catastrophic. Quantitative Percussion Diagnostics (QPD) has been shown in over 28 peer reviewed studies in engineering and dental journals to be an accurate and reliable test for determining the structural wellness of teeth or implants. QPD is a mechanical test similar to evaluation methods used in engineering for assessing structural stability of objects, in contrast to visually based dental diagnostics such as radiographs and visual examination. The mechanism that creates QPD data has been illustrated by Finite Element Analysis of novel models of uncracked and cracked teeth. QPD, FEA modeling plus the addition of AI and Machine Learning are currently creating a future for dentistry of predictive diagnostics, where structural problems can be diagnosed early and rated as to type or severity. Preventive or therapeutic steps can then be instituted earlier in the damage cycle prior to the occurrence of advanced or catastrophic results, providing dentists with a new aid to diagnosis.

During this webinar replay CMO members will learn:
        1. Understand how percussion can be a diagnostic risk assessment aid
        2. Know the scientific foundation of QPD
        3. Envision the power of AI/ML combined with increasing amounts of QPD DATA
        4. Determine the synergistic clinical possibilities of QPD/FEA/AI
