In today's advanced dental practice, photography is far more than documentation. It drives diagnosis, treatment planning, patient and lab communication, and marketing. From digital smile design to facially generated treatment plans, your images say a lot about you: the modernization of your practice, your clinical standards, and your attention to detail.
This course goes beyond the settings menu. You'll learn exactly how your camera works, how to capture consistent, lab-ready images every time, and, just as important, how to put those images to work once you have them, turning great photography into better outcomes, clearer communication, and stronger case acceptance.
DRD members will learn:
• Confidently operate a DSLR or mirrorless camera for clinical and portrait photography
• Master the exposure triangle (ISO, aperture, and shutter speed) to produce sharp, consistent images
• Control and shape light using flash systems to reveal texture, translucency, and detail
• Use retractors, mirrors, and contrasters to capture complete, professional intraoral series
• Improve shade selection and communicate color and characterization clearly to the lab
• Use photo templates to streamline treatment planning and team communication
• Present cases visually in a way that builds patient trust and increases case acceptance
